History of Pop-A-Lock New Orleans
Pop-A-Lock New Orleans of New Orleans opened in 1993 as a “Car Door Unlocking Company” and introduced Pop-A-Lock New Orleanss’ signature Emergency Car Door Unlocking (EDU) service as a free public service to the New Orleans Metro Area. By 1998 the company had 8 full time employees and its’ EDU service had become a critical component of the areas 911 emergency response system, averaging over 30 EDU’s per month. The company’s services expanded to Roadside Assistance services including tire changes, jump-starts and fuel deliveries.
In response to requests from customers the company began offering Automotive Locksmith, Residential Locksmith, and Commercial Locksmith services in 2000 to the greater New Orleans Metro area.
By 2004, the company employed 12 – Car Door Unlocking Technicians and 3 – full-time locksmiths. Late 2004 the company was acquired from the founders by Tulane University graduate and Board Certified Safety Professional, Paul H. Sewall.

The Pop-A-Lock New Orleans management team prides itself on excellent customer service. Customers know they can count on our reliability and fast response when they need our help. All Pop-A-Lock New Orleans employees dress in company standard orange uniforms and provide service in clean cars that are easily identified as Pop-A-Lock New Orleans.
